I feel that pictures should be more than just frozen moments immortalized on paper. They should evoke memories and stir emotions in the viewer. He or she should be able to connect with the subject on some level to truly experience the magic of a great photograph. I hope you enjoy my site.

About

I have been a photographer since 1989. After earning my bachelor's degree in photography and geology, I started Sapphire Photography shooting everything from fashion and weddings to wildlife and landscapes. I started taking photographs with manual SLRs and a medium format Mamiya and have now added 2 digital Nikons to the collection. I do like the versatility and ease of use with the digital cameras, but my first love is my Minolta X370. I will never completely switch over. Call me old school, but I just love slides!

I enjoy sharing my love of photography with others through teaching as well as photographs. I have always felt that your profession should be an asset to your life and never feel like work. I love what I do and I can't imagine doing anything else.
